Scott Vickers


Scott Ryan Vickers (Born 5 May 1977) is a British actor, writer, producer and director. During his childhood Scott was involved in Amateur Dramatics and went to Performing Arts School. His first professional show, Snow White was in Manchester when he was 10 years old. After 2 years of stage school Scott landed a soloist performers role at the world famous Moulin Rouge〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Moulin Rouge )〕 in Paris making him the youngest ever in that role at 18 years of age. Scott went on to perform in several theatre productions 42nd Street, Crazy For You, Boogie Nights, Spirit. Scott starred in Chicago on London’s West End then left theatre to focus on screen acting. Scott studied in New York and Los Angeles focusing on acting, film producing, screenwriting, film marketing and distribution. Scott appeared in Pendulum's well known music video The Other Side , Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Sirens and Foyles War amongst several other TV appearances and voice overs. In 2009 Scott completed a screen play called Devil’s Patriot which captured the interest of two time Oscar winner Roger Christian who purchased the screenplay. He was then commissioned to write for Stray Dogs Films and completed a screenplay titled Hope Valley set in the Peak District. Scott wrote, directed and produced the short films Death Wish and Echelon. In 2012 Scott made a hugely successful Short Film called Advance to Contact starring Frances Barber a true story about a soldier returning from Afghanistan and suffering from an extreme type of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The film received full international distribution with Shorts International and received notable acclaim from Lorraine Kelly, Combat Stress UK and MP Liam Fox along with a great deal of support from several prominent figures in the British Military. Advance to Contact attracted a lot of media attention and was covered by ITV, BBC, STV, BFBS, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Scotland, Real Radio and several national newspapers. Scott was made an ambassador of the veterans Charity Erskine. Scott recently quit the very popular lead role of Will Cooper in BBC's River City after 4 years in the role. Scott formed film production company New Light Films with producer Steven Little and plan to produce their first feature film early 2016.
